About Me

Hi and welcome to my blog! I am currently a high school science teacher in beautiful North Georgia. This is where I began my teaching career in August of 2000. Teaching is something I have wanted to do since the 5th grade and so here I am. I have taught Physical Science, Chemistry, Biology, and Geology, giving me varied experience in the science classroom. After writing a technology grant in 2007, I became very interested in all things technology and how I could implement technology into my classroom. In the last few years, I have presented at numerous conferences and I have provided professional development at my school and others. Last year, I tried "flipped learning" in my Biology classes. I felt it was successful and so I decided to do it again. Most recently, I decided to "flip" my Chemistry classes.  Although I am a relative "newbie," I love to learn and share what I have learned with others.
